Art debate in kuwait

An artistic friend from kuwait ( Shahad Bishara invited me to a session in kuwait contemporary art museum regarding graffiti wither its vandilisim or art a week ago .

The seasion was very interesting ... I have to honestly say the presentation wasnt as strong, because the guy who prepared it related graffiti to rebilion generally and used micheal angelos statue of david as an example of rebillion existence through history using art. Nevertheless, people feed back to thia whole graffiti and public art was mainly positive. What made a lot of diffrence is witnessing people acceptance to thos whole movement especially in the middle-east.

I believe we shouldnt caregorize ourselves and relate to this whole western movement , with all respect. Our back ground is diffrent but we should embrace thia common love to muralisim and work together to make it a strong scene.

In the debate i met some talented young artists  who had a great finger print in directing the debate and relating their life style to that of the community, such as:

- alitwo_

- Nizzy7th

- visualtherapy

- thesword_crew

Follow them on insta....

And last but not least i leave you with pictures.

Have a wonderful day folks.

Behance Nov. 2012

The video shown below is for a Behance event which took place last november by several designers, artists in Khobar, Saudi.

The experience gained from that event was unique especially among many people who appreciate and work on encouraging a creative movement.

I Believe this video would encourage artist and designers from the region to participate , attend and join the next one to share , network and enhance their work.

" Behance Portfolio Reviews bring members together at events in cities
and towns around the world — organized by members, for members.

In Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia we had Behance Portfolio Reviews on the
15th of November, 2012 for the second time with more than
200 attendance and fabulous designers presenting their work with our
community and we have succeed to encourage this small beautiful city
share, network & connect.

    Market 338 [ Graffiti ]

Last week was a blast ! we had a dramatic change from home and studio painting on weekends to Do graffiti live , which is not so common here.

The place was the market 338 and at the same spot there was an event sponsored by Bahrain TVfor make up at the gallery, which made people curious and look at us Paint.

The piece i have drawn had a basic human figure with arabic calligraphy on, simply to add more of a cultural touch to it, but most importantly the glowing heart in the middle that shows truth , believe and probably faith.

Thank you for passing by everyone

    Birds!

Last week i had a creative night walk with my buddy Illuveda in al-adlya area which was pretty productive ,
It started from albareh gallery , which had an international group exhibition with bird themes.the evening later on extended to live sketches and meeting new people at night.

Also, Albareh Gallery cafe i found these amazing calligraphic paintings , they may not be as clear but worth looking at . the writings or letters were over-layered with similar patterns with the same color contrast which made more organic .

Hope you found these pictures interesting and if you like them then make sure you visit before jan the 2nd.

And finally this is a Sketch of my Dear friend Illuveda ( http://www.illuveda.blogspot.com )

wish you all a wonderful day/evening
